Khanya Labs

Most of our schools are having khanya Labs and they are presumed to be helpful to educators, but the true sense of the matter is that educators are lazy to attend these training offered to equip them on how to use these Labs. But we will always be the ones to say there is a lack of resourses in our schools.

The web evaluation

Writing the web evaluation test was a good eye opener for me, because I learnt new ways of looking on websites like how to check or verify if the website is real. How to look at check when was the last date the website was updated. I've also learnt that you need to read the information on the website and look for clues to verify its authenticity using the search engines like goggle. I feel that I am now confident that I will use the skills that I have acquired in future.

Strike of 2010

It is very said for our education to be taking a down ward turn instead of going forward, our government is the one to blame. Just think about the matric results for 2010. According to me they are going to be a disaster taking in to consideration the amount of time that we lost during the world cup.

Taking the Lead

I am impressed by the way Equal Education are realy taking the lead in making our voices heard by the government. I hope that the government will listen and take steps towards improving the education for South African children. We are already sitting with a problem of bad results, so school libraries could be the best solution. Forward with One School, One Teacher-Librarian, One Library campaign.

Changes in S.A.Education

There are lots of changes in South African as result of that the learners are not performing well. Educators themselves are not sure of these changes but they are the ones who are suppose to be teaching the learners. I hope these upcoming changes are the last ones and we are sure of achieving good results.

The government must make having school libraries a living reality by making sure that they there and fully functional. They must also create permanent school teacher-librarian posts for all the schools in South Africa.
